Welcome

Photo of Patrick hiking in Victoria Patrick taught special education in an inclusive elementary classroom located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This was his second career as he had retired from the military. While working with students, he quickly became known as a supportive teacher who promoted learning for every child. In November 2007, he tragically developed angiosarcoma (AN-jee-o-sar-KO-ma), a type of cancer that begins in the cells that line blood vessels or lymph vessels. It took his life after a seven month battle with the disease.
Patrick Ecker was a gifted educator who believed that every child wants to learn and has the ability to learn. He believed that educators have the responsibility to develop a method that will help individual students learn the best they can.
